How to play SumJong

To play SumJong, load the page and the game appears in the embedded player above. Use the controls listed here to interact with it. The objective depends on the logic-grid formula: progress, clear the board, beat the clock, or chase a high score. Because it is a logic puzzle where you fill a grid so every row, column and box contains each number exactly once, the rules are quick to grasp but reward practice. If the game offers a settings or pause menu, check it for difficulty options and key rebinding before you start.

Controls

• Click a cell to select it, then type or tap a number to place it.
• Use note mode (pencil marks) to list candidates for a cell without committing.
• On touch devices, tap a cell then tap the number pad.

Tips & strategy

• Start with the rows, columns or boxes that already have the most given numbers.
• Use pencil marks for candidates, then scan for "singles" where only one number fits.
• Look for naked pairs: if two cells in a unit share the same two candidates, neither can go elsewhere in that unit.
• When stuck, re-scan each unit for a number that can only sit in one cell.
