When can I move a sequence?

You can move a descending same-colour (or any-colour, depending on the variant) run as a unit to another column whose bottom card is one rank higher.

What is an empty column for?

Any card (or in Klondike, only a King) can start a new column there, giving you room to reorganise stuck cards.

Can I go through the stock twice?

In draw-3 Klondike you cycle the stock as many times as the rules allow; some layouts are unwinnable, so don't be afraid to restart.
