7 Bubble Shooter Tips to Score Higher

Bubble shooters look simple — aim, fire, match three — but the gap between a casual score and a high score comes down to a handful of habits. Here are seven tips that consistently pay off.

  1. Trace the rebound before firing. The guide line shows the direct path, but the real skill is reading where a banked shot ends up. Follow the bounce mentally before you commit.
  2. Cut clusters from their supports. If you pop the bubbles holding a group up, everything below that group drops for a large bonus. This is the single highest-scoring move in the game.
  3. Clear the bottom row first. Stray singles on the bottom row are what end runs. Prioritise colours that appear down there so nothing gets stranded.
  4. Swap when you can. Many shooters let you swap the current and next bubble. If the loaded colour is useless right now, swap it for the next one and save it.
  5. Don't stack uselessly. A bubble you fire into a gap with no neighbours of its colour just builds the wall higher. Aim it somewhere it can match, or swap it away.
  6. Use the walls aggressively. The direct line can't reach bubbles tucked behind others. Bank shots are how you clear the awkward spots without building up the front.
  7. Stay calm as the cluster descends. Panic-firing into the bottom row is how you lose. Slow down, find the match that drops the most, and take it.

Put these into practice across the bubble shooter category and you'll see your scores climb within a session.
